The Frank Dale Food brand has been established since 1994 and enjoys a proven track record for the creation of exceptional frozen and chilled British-made baked goods to celebrate a wide variety of occasions.

Renowned for its miniatures, loved for its commitment to sourcing  local / UK premium ingredients and revered for the opportunity it represents to serve fantastic tasting buffet food with chef cooked credentials, Frank Dale is the reliable go-to for any catered event or foodservice setting.

Our factory

Since 2009 the Frank Dale range has been made by the experienced and skilled in-house workforce, within a modern and versatile BRCGS AA+ accredited facility, which is Nut free, Sesame free and Celery free. Combining the latest technology with more traditional production methods which includes hand finishing, the trusted Frank Dale brand is synonymous with the delivery of premium buffet occasion foods with unrivalled flavour, quality and finish.

The Frank Dale brand is owned by Finedale Foods Ltd in Norfolk, who are experts in contract food manufacturing, creating unique ready to heat or eat branded and private label goods for a wide range of customers in the catering, wholesale and retail sectors.

Our processes are designed to create the best textures and tastes possible when served. From our delicious short crust pastry to sauces, fillings and toppings, our skilled team makes small batches with care and attention. Finished product is quickly blast frozen to preserve each item at its freshest.

We have a programme of staff training, investment and continuous improvement to ensure consistent quality and drive food safety standards.

Provenance & sustainability

Premium ingredients are essential for great tasting recipes. For us, it all starts with sourcing the best we can. Many of our base ingredients are British, selected with sustainability in mind.

Meat

We pride ourselves on the quality of the British meat we use – with an emphasis on welfare and traceability – all of the beef used in our products is from Red Tractor assured farms, the UK’s largest food standards initiative championing British food, farming and consumer safety.

Fish

We only use fish certified by GlobalGAP in our recipes, demonstrating that it has met rigorous standards for sustainable agricultural practices. GlobalGAP certification encompasses a comprehensive set of guidelines aimed at promoting environmentally friendly farming methods, promoting natural resources and ensuring food safety.

Eggs

We source our egg from UK suppliers and only use British egg in our products, wherever possible, these are Free Range Eggs. Our ingredients are produced to high standards of animal welfare, hygiene and transparency in the supply chain for full traceability back to the farms if needed.

Dairy

All milk and cheese used in our recipes is sourced from the UK and Ireland.
Frank Dale Food - Packaging Sustainability

Packaging

All products in the Frank Dale portfolio are no longer presented in black plastic but now feature in clear recyclable packaging and corrugated 100% recycled board. The revised packaging will result in 10 tonnes of black plastic per annum being saved from landfill.

Frank Dale Foods - Energy Sustainability

Energy & Water

As of November 2023, our energy contract supplier uses 100% green energy. We are currently working on a number of other projects which will enable us to run our Coldstore using solar power, and to process factory waste water on site by installing an effluent plant.
